Let there be flight… Preferably a G650

Gulfstream G650: Doing God’s work in Comfort

Today’s reading is from from the Book of Genesis.

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
And the earth was without form, and void; and darkeness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
And God said, Let there be flight: and there was flight.

Wait a minute, I thought it was light not flight.

Not according to Reverend Ceflo Dollar of World Changers Church International (WCCI), who wants to raise $65million to buy a Gulfstream G650 as reported in Christianpost.com which quoted from Dollar’s appeal:

“Due to this recent incident coupled with the 31 years the airplane has been in service, we believe it is time to replace this aircraft so that our Pastors and staff can continue to safely and swiftly share the Good News of the Gospel worldwide. Believe it or not, there are still millions of people on this planet who have never heard of Jesus Christ and know nothing of His greatness. Our hearts desire to see precious lives changed and snatched out of darkness and thrust into His marvelous light! We need your help to continue reaching a lost and dying world for the Lord Jesus Christ,” the appeal continued before asking supporters of the ministry to sow a $300 seed into the airplane fund, billed Project G650.

“The mission of Project G650 is to acquire a Gulfstream G650 airplane so that Pastors Creflo and Taffi and World Changers Church International can continue to blanket the globe with the Gospel of grace. We are believing for 200,000 people to give contributions of 300 US dollars or more to turn this dream into a reality — and allow us to retire the aircraft that served us well for many years,” the appeal noted.

Their previous jet a Gulfstream III, had run off the airway at Bigging Hill – near London back in November 2014. The G650 is the “fastest plane ever built in civilian aviation” where there is a three year waiting list.

As for Revered Dollar – Yep that his real name – he is no stranger to controversy. He is estimated to be worth $27 million, lives in a mansion and drives the obligatory Rolls Royce. His ministry was one of six investigated by Senator Chuck Grassley but it had no recommendations.

Ceflo has also spent some time in Jail where back in June 2012, his 15-year-old daughter called 911, saying her father repeatedly punched and choked her home. She said that it wasn’t the first time something like that had happened and that she felt threatened living in the house. Dollar was arrested and charged with family brutality and juvenile cruelty but the charges were later dropped where the Rev agreed to attend anger management classes.

Now watch as he defends his criticism about this Private Jet Project “I dare you to tell me I cannot dream”..
